How we wish you all could have been at the abuse prevention program and benefit concert yesterday! (It’s not too late to view the programs online!) The Holy Spirit blessed in so many ways and reached many hearts through the sermon Pastor Steve presented—“Just One”, the heart-wrenching testimonies shared by victims, the encouraging and thought-provoking words Dr. Martin Weber shared and, of course, the heavenly and delightful music by the Liga Family—Florin, Livia, Michael & Joseph. Here are a few comments from those who attended:
“You guys are awesome! God bless you for blessing us. The devil will be sorry.”—KY
“The entire day was positive and uplifting.”—IL
“I was blessed. This was a real highlight!”—OK
“It was completely awesome! I could totally see God’s hand in all of it.”—IL
We give special thanks to all who took part in this incredible day, especially the victims, Heather and Rachel, who were willing to make themselves vulnerable in order to help others understand the devastation of pastoral sexual abuse. May God continue to bring healing into the life of all victims and their families.
Additionally, we thank all those who contributed sacrificially to help support the ministry. With the funds that were raised, we will now be able to produce the new documentary DVD, Call It Anything But Love, which we pray will help victims and non-victims alike to comprehend the magnitude and ramifications of this type of abuse.
If you haven’t had a chance to read the July HopeSpeak newsletter yet, you may download the PDF file now. You won’t want to miss the details of the General Conference Session and see all the good things God is doing to reach hurting victims through The Hope of Survivors. Also, meet Wendy Lee, our newest volunteer, who will be serving The Hope of Survivors Canadian Division. Welcome aboard, Wendy!
Please continue to pray for The Hope of Survivors’ outreach efforts, as the need for this ministry continues to grow. Your support is needed now more than ever! Victims are counting on you to help—in any way you can—to prevent, educate or heal from pastoral sexual abuse.
God bless you!

P.S. Thanks to some very kind and talented volunteers, Understanding Sexual Misconduct Among Spiritual Leaders will soon be available (in website format only until funds area available to print booklets) in many other languages, including French and Polish. Praise God for making the truth available to victims in their own language!
