|Closer Than Ever, But Not Quite There! by Samantha Nelson|
Happy New Year! Today, I am praising God for all who contributed to The Hope of Survivors in order to help us try to reach the $225,000 goal. We didn't quite make it, which means some endeavors and projects will need to be postponed until the rest of the funds come in. The total came to $94,381—42% of the budget. We are still short $130,619, so please keep The Hope of Survivors and those we serve in prayer.
Part of the funds raised so far were donor-designated ($20,000) to help with the Baylor University research study, Congregational and Denominational Responses to Clergy Sexual Misconduct: Making Safe Places. You'll be hearing more about that as soon as the survey is completed and you're asked to participate. This is just one of many projects The Hope of Survivors is working on, in addition to the day-to-day support of victims. Your donations, however small or large, make a powerful difference!
If you'd like to make your donation now, please do so online or send a check to 843 Broadway, Sonoma, CA 95476. Thank you!
With a grateful heart,
