|Letter from the Vice President—Samantha Nelson|
(February 25, 2015)
It's official—the Renewal Center is now on the market!
As most of you know, God blessed The Hope of Survivors with a miracle—the Renewal Cente—in October 2013. (If you missed that announcement, you can click here to read about it.) We've been blessed and privileged to serve many victims of clergy sexual abuse at the Renewal Center since that time. After much prayer and consideration, however, we believe it is time to sell.
Just to be clear, The Hope of Survivors WILL CONTINUE to operate a Renewal Center, but we are hoping to relocate to a more economical and suitable location (i.e., closer to the airport, closer to our main congregation, smaller building with less maintenance, etc.).
If you or someone you know might be interested in buying this property, please contact realtor Randy Simmons at (712) 542-7355 or by email at email@example.com for more information.
There are many possible uses for the facility for new buyers:
· medical missionary center
Any one of the above ministries (other than the bed & breakfast and boarding house) should be able to receive grants funds more easily than The Hope of Survivors (due to the unique nature of our work). Those grants funds would really help another ministry be able to operate/maintain this facility.
It saddens us to let this miracle Renewal Center go, but the reality is that it is still a blessing from God and an asset to the ministry even as it sells. It will enable us to find a property that will be more easily sustained by the limited contributions the organization receives. We are eternally grateful for the couple who followed God's leading and donated the property to The Hope of Survivors in 2013, and we pray they will be blessed even as they see how their contribution can still benefit the ministry today. Here's just a couple samples of the blessings victims have received at the Renewal Center:
Please join us in prayer for a quick sale and a smooth transition to a new facility. Thank you for your prayers and support as we continue to bind up the brokenhearted victims of clergy sexual abuse from around the world.
God bless you,
