10/10/07 – Thompsonville, IL: The Hope of Survivors & Applebee’s Working Together!

Through their Dining to Donate program, Applebee’s and The Hope of Survivors are working together to help victims of pastoral sexual abuse. Now, you can dine at one of your favorite restaurants in West City or Marion, IL and raise funds to support a worthy cause. Here’s how it works: Go to http://www.thehopeofsurvivors.com/applebees.asp and download a flyer for your favorite Applebee’s restaurant. Then, on the designated day, take the flyer with you when you eat at Applebee’s. Be sure to present the flyer to your server before you place your order, and Applebee’s will donate 10%-15% of the tab to The Hope of Survivors. It’s as simple as that!

The event will be held on Monday, November 19, at the West City Applebee’s, located at 120 North Central St. in West City, IL and at the Marion Applebee’s, located at 2712 W. DeYoung St. in Marion, IL. Bring your appetite and all your family and friends!

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise awareness of the escalating problem of pastoral sexual misconduct in every denomination, and to generate funds to support The Hope of Survivors’ outreach ministry and educational efforts on behalf of both victims and church leaders.

The Hope of Survivors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping victims of pastoral sexual abuse and misconduct, as well as providing educational and informational materials and seminars to pastors and churches worldwide.
