|There Is Still More To Do by Shyleene Rosado, Latino Division|
(From the July 2015 edition of HopeSpeak)
“This is a much needed ministry,” was one of the responses that my husband Carlos and I heard frequently during the General Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in San Antonio, TX.
“I’m glad that this ministry exists.” Another response very often mentioned by the public that visited our booth.
Having the opportunity to share words of hope with victims and educate others about this topic gave me the sense of urgency to bear a part in this vital ministry. In spite of the fact that we distributed nearly 2,500 brochures in Spanish during this convention, which was attended by 70,000 people, I think there is still more to do.
There is still more to do to reach the victims of clergy sexual abuse. Eight years ago, God gave me the opportunity to be part of this ministry to educate others and support victims of clergy sexual abuse. I am very grateful for the opportunity to work for The Hope of Survivors and I believe I could do more in this ministry.
Could you pray for me? I need that the sense of urgency to share this valuable message of love and hope does not wane, and to put in my path people who want to be part of this ministry so together we can equip ourselves with the Word of God to be a blessing to others in need. Finally, that God will provide the financial resources so that every day more and more people from the Latino community and around the world can be educated and we can prevent this devastating abuse.
There is still more work to do and more doors of opportunity to open for The Hope of Survivors.
Thank you for supporting The Hope of Survivors with your prayers, donations and by sharing this ministry with others.
